Kofi Ambrosius is eagerly anticipating a stern battle against compatriot Aaron Opoku when SV Hamburg host Jahn Regensburg in the German Bundesliga 2 on Sunday.
Hamburg will welcome Regensburg to the Volksparkstadion on matchday 14 of the ongoing German second-tier championship.
But it appeared Ambrosius and Opoku have hogged attention ahead of the game after the former claimed to have been friends with his Jahn Regensburg opponent for a long time.
“I've known Aaron for a long time, he's a good friend of mine. We have more contact,” Ambrosius disclosed.
Opoku left Hamburg to join Jahn Regensburg on a season-long loan deal last summer.
Meanwhile, Ambrosius will be hoping to feature in the game after missing last week’s 2-1 victory at Karlsruher through injury.
